Whiskey Sour

The traditional way to serve a whiskey sour is to mix in an egg white. It adds a pleasant texture and softens the drink a bit. With or without the egg white, make sure you skip the sweet and sour mix. It’s simple to make your own with fresh ingredients:

2 oz. Whiskey
.75 oz. Fresh-squeezed Lemon Juice
.75 oz. Simple Syrup
1 Egg White

Mix in shaker with ice and transfer to rocks glass. Garnish with a lemon wedge.

Sidecar named Desire

The Sidecar is a personal favorite, AND we were able to use our new swap meet find: vintage poodle shooter glasses… Amazing!

1.5 oz. Cognac
.75 oz. Lemon Juice
.75 oz. Cointreau
Sugared rim

Use a chilled cocktail glass and coat the rim in sugar. Combine above ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake until cold. Strain into prepared glass.
